Yamada Europe B.V. is an international organization, located in Hengelo, The Netherlands, selling Air Powered Pumps and equipment. Yamada Europe B.V. is a subsidiary of Yamada Corporation with the main office and production facilities in Japan. Yamada Europe B.V. is responsible for distributing and promoting Yamada products and service  into Europe, Russia, The Middle East and Africa. Yamada is an ISO 9001:2008 company.

To grow our presence in the market we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the Benelux, UK, Ireland, South Africa and the Middle East.

The Function:
As a Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for quoting, selling and promoting the Yamada products and service to Yamada distributors and OEM accounts. In addition you will be tasked with finding new sales opportunities in the assigned region. You negotiate with the distributors about sales targets and discuss sales results. You will give presentations, attend trade shows and be responsible for training distributors.
You will be part of a sales team, that besides travelling to meet distributors and customers, is responsible for collecting and sharing market information about your territory and enter this info into our CRM.  
You will become a key-person for the Yamada organization, increasing brand awareness and growing a desire for our products with end users and OEM.

A combination of hard work, technical know how, commercial aptitude, people skills and common sense are key in being successful in this job.
You will be supported in your duties by Inside Technical Sales, Customer Service, Marketing and the Sales Manager. You will report directly to the Sales Manager.

We are looking for:

  • An bachelor education and 5 years work experience
  • Strong technical and commercial skills
  • International sales experience and good people skills
  • You are able to build a long term relationship with customers based on trust and know how
  • You know or are able to get to know the region and are willing to travel approx. 60% of your time throughout your region
  • You are a self starter with good communication skills who can work both independently as well as in a team
  • You have strong business ethics, are customer focused, detail oriented and results driven
  • We prefer a person who has worked with air operated diaphragm pumps or similar products, in an international pump environment
  • In addition to the Dutch language you are fluent in English. For this position and future growth opportunities, knowledge of one or more of the following languages is a pre: Spanish, Italian, Arabic or Russian
  • Having a network of contacts in one or more of our target industries is a real plus
